Engine Test Beds
The laboratory has different type of engine test beds varying from 3 bhp to 150 bhp equipped with modern instrumentation which are utilized for study of performance, emission, wear and deposits from various fuels and lubricants. These include:

Mass emission Facility
This is a Centrally air conditioned fully automated facility with Chassis Dynamometers for Two wheelers ,three wheelers, passenger cars and LCV,Fuel conditioning unit ,Fuel temperature control system ,Constant volume sampler, full flow dilution tunnel ,Exhaust measurement and sampling system (up to Bharat stage III) . It is being upgraded for measurements up to Bharat Stage IV and V.
