I am
interested in the technologies developed by IIP for commercialization. How do I
proceed?

Development Division shall be happy to provide all the information.
Our
company has developed some petroleum related products. We wish to have the
detailed testing of this material. Is it possible at IIP?
IIP has
state-of-art analytical facilities and is fully equipped for the analysis and
evaluation of any petroleum products. You may post your query at
rpbd@iip.res.in. In case the details of the standard tests to be conducted
are known to you the same can be mentioned. The tests to be conducted, the
volume of the sample for each test and the charges will be conveyed to you by
our RPBD Division.
Can I
attend the Training courses conducted by IIP? What are the charges?
The
training courses conducted by IIP are specialized courses, tailor-made to the
needs of participants. Normally the courses are conducted for a group of people
from an organization. Your organization may send the requirement for training
to our Institute. Our Training Division will help you to finalize the course
content and duration. Charges will depend upon number of participants and the
duration.
I am from
State Transport, How can I enroll myself for the training programme conducted by
IIP for Road Transport personnel?
Ministry
of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways sponsors such training programme. You
may contact IIP for the calendar and for the nomination form for the enrolment
for such programme.
Is IIP an
academic Institute? If yes, what type of academic courses are offered by IIP
and to which University it is affiliated.
No IIP is
not an academic Institute it is a research Institute under Council of Scientific
& Industrial Research (CSIR). It carries out R&D activities in the downstream
sector of petroleum.
When are
the admission held for the academic courses offered by IIP? What is the
strength of students and faculty?
IIP is not
an academic Institute. It is a research Institute under Council of Scientific &
Industrial Research (CSIR). Therefore it does not offer any academic courses
leading to the award of Diploma or Degree.
Can I work
for my Ph.D. programme at IIP? What is the eligibility criteria and procedure?
IIP has
been recognized by many Indian Universities to conduct research programme
leading to Ph.D. degree for the students enrolled in those universities. IIP
extends its state-of-art facilities and expertise of the scientists to the
students under Research Fellowship Programme. Post Graduate students of
Chemistry and Biotechnology who have qualified UGC-CSIR NET examination and
Engineering Graduates who qualified GATE can apply under this programme to IIP
for Fellowship. For details please visit

I am a
school/college student and wish to know more about IIP. In fact I wish to
interact with scientists and visit you labs to see the experimentation. Can you
allow me?
Our
Institute keeps its laboratories open for the students and public in general on
its Foundation Day i.e. 14th April, and CSIR Foundation Day i.e. 26th
September every year. Open days are also observed on National Science Day, 28th
February and National Technology Day 11th May. We also entertain the
requests from schools and colleges for the visit of the students to our
Institute.
