• Represented CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun in the national committees related to fuel quality and vehicle emissions
• Research work reported in the comprehensive report entitled, “Vehicle Emissions and Control Perspectives in India – A State-of-the-art Report” helped the Government of India to formulate national vehicle emission standards
• Organized various training programmes for engineers from automotive and oil industries on fuel quality and vehicle emission control
• Assisted the ‘Expert Committee on Auto Fuel Policy for India’ in framing the policy and writing the report of the committee for Government of India
• Secretary, Research Council of CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun
• Gold Medal in M E University of Roorkee
• Best Scientist Award by CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun in the year 1995
