Outcome
- A novel bioprocess for 1G, 2G & hybrid bioethanol from lignocellulosic biomass, and various waste sugar streams.
- Effective, lignocellulosic biomass deconstruction process (validated at pilot scale level) to recover hemicellulose in the form of pentose sugar rich stream with complete mass and material balance. ~85% fermentable carbon recovery in form of xylose sugar.
- Developed novel and in house cellulase enzyme system for biomass saccharification
- Yeast mediated fermentation for production of xylitol, ethanol, and single cell oil in pilot scale fermenter
- Yeast lipid production from renewable carbonaceous feedstock and lipid conversion into 4th gen drop in fuels and oleochemicals
- In silico analysis of microbial systems.
- Life cycle impact as well as energy, exergy, and techno-economic evaluation of fuels and chemicals from renewable feedstock.
